10 Months Old!

Dylan is 10 months old and getting so big. He's still at failure to thrive, and not sleeping well. He is having a hard time gaining weight, and is sick pretty often. It feels like he's sick more then he's well. We have had so many visits to the ER, and his Doctor. So we're on house arrest quite a bit. If the weather is nice we try to go outside for a walk with the dogs. Dylan loves his puppy dogs, Stetson is his favorite and they had a very special relationship. Stetson is really protective of Dylan and likes to be close to him. Dylan has figured out crawling, and is really fast now. He's into everything, and quite the trouble maker. He can pull himself up to standing, and can take a few steps. Crawling is so much faster and easier. Ben came home this month, and Dylan has had a great time with his Daddy. We went to Texas and picked up the kids, and got to see his Grandma Mary. It was so nice getting to spend some time with her. We were in Texas over the 4th of July, and the parade was really fun. We went to the Lake, and a rodeo that night. Dylan has been such a hard baby, but so happy, with huge smiles that make you forget most of the hard times. He is getting so many teeth, and getting to try lots of new food. He loves spanish rice and beans. He's not talking very much, he likes to point and grunt. He would probably talk more, but pointing usually gets him whatever he wants.  He has loved getting to spend time with his brother and sister.

 Visit with Cousins

Two little boys sitting in the middle of the table eating Grandpa's pancakes.

Ben was really sad that he missed seeing Jace, and getting to show him around the airforce base. So he got everyone to sign a poster for Jace. It was cool to read so many personal messages, and that they took the time to write to him. I know that it meant a lot to Jace to get it.

Jace's visit to Nellis, AFB.

We were so excited to hear that Heather's family would be stopping to visit on their way to Mom's house. Jace has been really interested in planes and the air force. Ben was looking forward to showing him around and getting to answer some of the questions that Jace had. He had to leave on a deployment the day before, so I got to show them around instead. We got Jace a flight suit with some badges, and dog tags, so that he would be ready for his tour. As we were driving to the base we saw so many planes. We stopped the car and walked as close to the runway as we could get, and saw so many planes taking off and landing. Then we went to the park and looked at the retired planes. I was so impressed at how much Jace knew about each plane. He knew a lot more then me on some of them. It was so much fun to see them. Then we got to follow them to Mom's house for Ty Ty's blessing. It was really special. It was fun to see Dylan, Alex, and Ty together. They all looked close to the same size. It was a fun trip home.
