Eight Months Old
13 pounds 10 ounces
Dylan has some pretty big boots to fill.
I can't believe all the changes this last month. He went from scooting on his back like an inch worm to crawling. He didn't crawl very far before he face planted. He does it every once in awhile now, but is much faster scooting or rolling. When he does crawl, as soon as he starts he throws out his arms, and falls on his tummy like a pancake. Guess he doesn't want to face plant again. He does have a crazy big head. He really likes his hands and feet. He's pretty flexible, he can get his toes in his mouth. He has two bottom teeth now. He has a new trick, when you pick him up he buries his head in your should and gives you a big hug, and then he bites you. He is quite the little character and almost always has a big smile. When he's mad he likes to grab your hair and pull your face closer and just scream. His veins stick out on his head, and his face turns bright red. It seems like he does it mostly when he's tired. We've been trying to sick with a schedule, and keep to it best we can, especially nap, and bedtime. That means we can't go out at night very often, he's asleep by 6:45 most nights. He got to go to church for the first time this Easter. We made one Sunday, and the next he had a bad ear infection so we missed it. Hopefully we can make it more often. He was really good at church. He ate some cheerios, and played with toys on the floor. He slept for a lot of it, that made it pretty nice. Can't wait to go again. His dad sent him four new story books that he recorded. They are his favorite, we read them over and over. His favorite foods are still sweet potatoes, pea's and cheerios. He likes raw sweet peppers, and cucumber. He throws an absolute fit when you take something away from him. He still really loves to take baths. Now that he's crawling we had to rearrange the living room to make it Dylan proof. We have a section that he can play in safely. The first day he scooted to the fence and Stetson was on the other side. It was pretty sad having to separate such good friends. They still have lots of time to play together. Dylan likes playing outside. He loves when we bring his bumbo chair outside and he can sit in the grass and watch the dogs play catch. It's going to be a good day when he can throw a ball or frisbee. It's been fun watching all the changes this month. We sure love this little guy, it's fun having him in our lives.
