 Old Mormon Fort
We went to visit the old Mormon fort. It was really cool learning about the history of Las Vegas. The fort was built more then 150 years ago. 29 Mormon missionaries from Utah arrived and built a 150 square foot adobe fort. It was the first permanent structure in the valley. The Mormon outpost had a post office and served as a way station for travelers. We had a fun day walking around, they have some fun activity's for kids. The creek and fort was the kids favorite place. Dylan loved being outside and looking around. It was a fun afternoon outside.

 Sand Hollow
On our way home from Texas we stopped overnight at Grandma Becky's house. We had a great dinner and the kids played in the backyard and with all her fun toys. It was so nice to see the dogs again. They were so excited to see us. The next day we went to the Lake and played with the kayaks. Brenden did so well in his that he gave Dylan a ride. Dylan loves being in the boats. We had such a great time at the lake.

We had such a good trip to Texas, but looking forward to being in our own beds again. We didn't have room in the back of the jeep for the dogs, so they sat in the front with us. They were so excited. Maverick sat on my lap, and Stetson sat on Ben's. We were listening to some old 80's songs on the radio and Ben started singing to Maverick. Maverick would look up at him with so much love in his eyes, and pay such close attention. It was so funny to watch Ben sing "you bring meaning to my life, your my inspiration" to the dog. Everytime Ben would start to sing, Maverick would sit up and look at him. I was laughing so hard, it totally made my day. It was so nice getting home after being gone over a week. Dylan slept better being home, and that made me think that I would be able to get through the summer. I have never seen a baby fight so hard to not sleep. I've read lots of books on premature baby's and it looks like you either get one that sleeps all the time, or one that never sleeps. Even though he doesn't sleep well he is such a happy baby. It's going to be fun to watch him with his big brother and sister. We are so excited to get to spend the summer with Brenden and Sarah.
