Dylan is five months old!

He is getting to be such a big kid. He can hold his head up really well, and is scooting around quite a bit. He likes to be held so that he can see everything. He likes to grab a handful of hair to have better balance while he's being held. I got a new haircut to help with that, but it's still long enough that he loves to pull it. He is starting to really notice the dogs, and smiles when they come over. Randsom is so starved for attention that he lays by his feet and lets him kick him for awhile. His favorite toys are his saucer activity center, and his little dog that lights up and say's "woof woof, merry Christmas." He likes his swing, but is mostly in it while he's taking one of his famous fifteen minute naps. We are both exhausted a lot of the time. He can roll from stomach to back, and back to stomach. He likes to sleep on his left side at night. He is such a character, and is always making me laugh. He has a huge smile, and is a pretty happy little guy. He giggles all the time now, especially when his dad tickles him. He loves going to hockey games, I hope that he likes playing it when he gets older. He's going to need to get a lot bigger. He's 11 pounds, and is smaller then all his cousins and friends. Hopefully he'll catch up soon. He loves spending time with his daddy, and knows that it's playtime when he comes home. It's the best part of the day when daddy comes home, everyone is excited. The dogs start sitting by the door around four to wait for him. Dylan loves spending time outside, or going out and doing pretty much anything. Grocery shopping is a pretty exciting time for him. He doesn't like to be stuck in the house. He's had a cough and stuffy nose for a month, and has had to be inside more, and he doesn't like that. The picture below of him with his eyes wide with a big open mouth grin is how he looks a lot of the time. It's his excited face, and he's excited by a lot of things. He's really good at slobber open mouth kisses. He is a challenging baby, but such a blessing in our lives too. We can't really say much about his personality, since he's so much like his parent's. We sure love this crazy little guy.

Toquerville Falls

Aaron just got his truck fixed and wanted to take it on a good ride, so we went to toquerville falls with all the dogs. It was a really pretty drive, on some pretty rough roads. Dylan fell asleep as soon as we hit the rough dirt road. There was some ice that the boys tried to break throwing rocks at it. Guess that never gets old, throwing rocks. lol. The dogs had a really good time running around. Shadow almost went over the second fall while he was trying to cross the river in front of it. Jessi spent a lot of time yelling at her dog to get out of the water. It was a little bit cold so Dylan spent all his time inside my jacket. We had a great time, thanks Jenny and Aaron.

A few times each year we go to Ethel M's. Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden. Christmas time is my favorite time to go, they put lights all over, and it looks so pretty. Dylan loved it, he would have been fine staying all night. It was a really fun night out.

Christmas 2011

We had such a great Christmas this year. We drove to Utah for Christmas Eve to spend time with my family. We had a such a fun time. We had a game night and played texas hold em. Ben and I were out really quick, I think he had a hard time not playing with phase cards. We went to Toquerville falls with Jenny and Aaron, Justin and Jess, and all the dogs. It was a nice day, the dogs had a great time, and were all worn out. Then we came home and got ready for Christmas morning.

I was really excited for our first real Christmas together. It was even more exciting that we had a fireplace to hang our stockings. Dylan and I woke up Ben at 7:30 and we went in the living room and got to open presents.

It was a really fun first Christmas. Ben got me a gun, a Glock 27 with a gun belt, and ammo. I got him a movie style popcorn maker, and nerf gun. He got a remote control helicopter, and we got a sweet picture frame with our name spelled out. He got saddle bags for his bike, and we got a humidifier. That's been so nice this last month. Dylan got a bouncer, and a lot of other toys, and two outfits. The dogs got a fun shuffle board game that you hide treats in, and some other toys and treats. We had a great Christmas this year. Thanks everyone that shared it with us.
